General Meetings
General meetings are held monthly at First Lutheran Church (153 Park Street, Montclair, NJ) and are open to the public. There is parking behind the church and the
meetings are hed on the ground floor.
2024-2025 PROGRAM SCHEDULE
12 October - Robbie AMODEO: Beauty Businesswomen - Elizabeth Arden, Helena Rubenstein & Estee Lauder
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, October 12th – coffee and bagels at 11:30am and the speaker at 12:00pm.
History program through digital and visual aides.
09 November – Joel FARKAS: Remember the Ladies - Women in the Time of the American Revolution
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 9th – coffee and bagels at 11:30am and the speaker at 12:00pm.
History program.
14 December – Rolidel CZEKAJLO: Senior Director of Services, Covenant House New Jersey
CHNJ is a safe space that creates individualized programs for young people facing homelessness and for human trafficking survivors.
Their goal is to provide high quality services to as many young people and HT survivors as possible, and offer them a chance to start a
new chapter in their lives.
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 14th – coffee and bagels at 11:30am and the speaker at 12:00pm.
11 January – Member Presentations: Travel Tales
Please join us for an interactive event where members are invited to share their most memorable travel stories, be they good or bad,
happy or sad. Pictures are welcome. Projector provided. 10-minute time limit. Prizes will be awarded for all performers.
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 11th – coffee and bagels at 11:30am and members speak at 12:00pm.
08 February – Kevin WOYCE: History of Valentine's Day
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 8th – coffee and bagels at 11:30am and the speaker at 12:00pm.
History program with digital slide show including both original photography and historic images.
08 March – Elizabeth “Liz” Sanatar, PT, DPT | Physical Therapist | Clinical Director: Wellness and Fitness for Aging Gracefully
An interactive discussion of holistic strategies for healthy aging.
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 8th – coffee and bagels at 11:30am and the speaker at 12:00pm.
12 April – Representatives of Homeland Security Investigations: Financial Fraud Awareness
Representatives of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Newark will discuss online fraud scams, particularly those targeting seniors.
HSI is the principal investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), responsible for investigating transnational crime
and threats, specifically those criminal organizations that exploit the global infrastructure through which international trade, travel and
finance move.
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 12th – coffee and bagels at 11:30am and the speaker at 12:00pm.
In addition to the General Meetings, the CWC has the following special interest groups.

Meetings are 12:30pm on the 2nd or 3rd Wednesday of the month and hosted in members' homes
Bring a sandwich or snack. Hostess will provide dessert
