MayGeneral Meetings
General meetings are held monthly at First Lutheran Church (153 Park Street, Montclair, NJ) and are open to the public. There is parking behind the church and the meetings are held on the ground floor.

09 November – Joel FARKAS: Remember the Ladies - Women in the Time of the American Revolution
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 9th – coffee and bagels at 11:30am and the speaker at 12:00pm.

14 December – Rolidel CZEKAJLO: Senior Director of Services, Covenant House New Jersey
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 14th – coffee and bagels at 11:30am and the speaker at 12:00pm.

CHNJ is a safe space that creates individualized programs for young people facing homelessness and for human trafficking survivors. T
heir goal is to provide high quality services to as many young people and HT survivors as possible, and offer them a chance to start a new chapter in their lives. 

11 January – Member Presentations: Travel Tales
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, January 11th – coffee and bagels at 11:30am and members speak at 12:00pm.

Please join us for an interactive event where members are invited to share their most memorable travel stories, be they good or bad, happy or sad. Pictures are welcome. Projector provided. 10-minute time limit. Prizes will be awarded for all performers.
                
08 February – Kevin WOYCE: History of Valentine's Day
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 8th – coffee and bagels at 12:30pm and the speaker at 1:00pm.

History program with digital slide show including both original photography and historic images. 
 
08 March – Genealogy and Family History: Preserving Your Legacy
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 8th – coffee and bagels at 12:30pm and the speaker at 1:00pm.

Have you hit a “brick wall” in your family history? Come join our resident genealogist for an interactive and engaging workshop to take your research to the next level with online research options, free resources, genealogy software, and local history repositories. There will be hands-on exercises for those who wish to participate, so bring your questions and conundrums.

12 April – Wellness & Fitness for Aging Gracefully
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 12th – coffee and bagels at 12:30pm and the speaker at 1:00pm.

Elizabeth “Liz” Sanatar, Physical Therapist will present an interactive discussion of holistic strategies for healthy aging.

10 May – Voices Unveiled: The Evolution of Female Indigenous Representation in Canadian Opera
Meeting to be held at the First Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 10th – coffee and bagels at 12:30pm and the speaker at 1:00pm.

Fulbright scholar Camryn Dewar explores the portrayal of Indigenous women in Canadian opera through live operatic performances with piano accompaniment and visual presentation. She examines historical context, creator and cast backgrounds, Indigenous languages, and shifts from fetishized portrayals to authentic representations. 
                 
In addition to the General Meetings, the CWC has the following special interest groups.

Meetings are 12:30pm on the 2nd or 3rd Wednesday of the month and hosted in members' homes
