UNCERTAIN this year due to POSTPONEMENT of Book Sale
The SCHOLARSHIPS
We give scholarship awards of varying amounts to high school senior girls from Montclair HS, Glen Ridge HS, Cedar Grove HS and Verona HS. We have managed to give between $40,000 and $44,000 to approximately 20 girls for each of the past several years – awards are approximately $2000. The candidate submits an application and is interviewed by the CWC Scholarship Committee. Scholarship application forms must be obtained through the guidance counselor at the student's high school.
We solicit applications from the towns from which we draw our members. High school girls from Montclair HS, Glen Ridge HS, Verona HS, Cedar Grove HS are the ones we have considered in recent years. This past year, 2023, awards were given to four of the high schools that represent our membership: Montclair: $16,000, Cedar Grove: $4,000, Glen Ridge: $6,000, Verona: $10,000.
We include a sample application form here but to apply for an award, the girl must go through her guidance counselor at her high school.
