ACTIVITIES AND SCHEDULES
We hold general meetings open to the public approximately once a month at the First Lutheran Church, 153 Park Street, Montclair, NJ 07042 between September and June. Each meeting features coffee and bagels followed by a speaker on varied topics. This past year we heard about contemporary art quilts from a respected collector, some NJ historical subjects, poetry survey from a noted MSU professor. Information on our meetings appears in the Chapter Newsletter, the Montclair Watercooler, Baristanet.com, Patch.com, The Jersey Tomato Press and the Montclair Times.
In addition to the general meetings, we have two special interest groups:
Dining out - evenings 1 - 2 times per year. Deana Campion (973-509-9036)
Book Group (see below for schedule) - 12:30 pm the second Wednesday of each month (bring a sandwich). Clare May (973-746-0757)
Our major fund raising activity for scholarships is our twice yearly Book Sale. Many members and non-members work on receiving, sorting and pricing the donated books all year long. Each member is obligated to contribute some time to staffing the two Book Sales.
